Pinot Noir
Pinot Noir, usually found in Burgundy, has also been planted in Alsace for many years now.
It is the only red variety in the Alsace repertoire, the appellation known mainly for its whites.
Initially it was used to produce rose wine, but now it is used more for red wine production.
The excellent vintages of recent years have encouraged more and more vignerons to produce
a pleasant red wine, with 'red fruit' aromas, a ruby red 'robe', subtle and elegant, which is
further enhanced by a few years laying down.
Winemaker's notes:
This award-winning wine has a 'robe' of burnished amber.
The nose is red fruits (especially strawberries and raspberries)
On the palate light and fruity, unctuous and with a generous helping of 'freshness'
Can be kept for 3 years
Excellent accompanying red meat, cheeses and game.
